Newell
Outdoors is Newell's happy place, as you can probably tell from this photo.
He enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, biking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, scrambling up mountains, and just about anything else that takes him outside.
Newell enjoys teaching and sharing skills with others and has taken a fair bit of training himself and holds certifications as a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol, Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors level 1, Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance level 1, Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers level 1, and as a Swiftwater Rescue Technician.
His training has also included taking courses in Avalanche Awareness, Lead Rock Climbing, Traditional Rock Climbing, Association of Canadian Mountain Guides level 1 climbing gym instructor, Risk Managment, First Aid, CPR, kayaking, and moving water canoeing.
Training and certifications are great, but nothing beats getting outside and having fun.
Newell can't think of a better way to spend time than sharing good times with good people.
"If you want to have fun just bring a positive attitude and an open mind!"
