Shannon is best described as a bundle of positive energy. Always smiling and laughing, her outlook is contagious. She has been paddling for several years in both kayaks and canoes and has been camping, hiking, climbing, rafting, scrambling, and backpacking since before her teenagers were born!
Shannon is pictured here enjoying an afternoon paddle in her new kayak, after several sets of rapids with a few more yet to come.
She has been known to hike in to camp in the mountains with a toddler on her back and a pack on her front, scramble up a mountain with a baby on her back, set up tents in the rain, bathe in a cold mountain stream, hike through waist deep snow to get out to the road and off to snowboard, and to be happy when her new white water helmet got its first scratch.
Shannon has been helping people enjoy outdoor sports for years as a certified instructor for skiing and snowboarding as well as being an instructor for the Canadian Association of Disabled Skiiers.
